Free and Nearly Free Book Websites

Free and Nearly Free Book Websites

There are a number of book websites that offer free or nearly free books each day or each week. If you will go to the website or look on Face Book, sign up with an e-mail address, or “like” their Face Book page, you will get offers from these groups. If you get a “free” book or an inexpensive book, you will check out through Amazon, and it will say $0.00 in the “cost” area.

Some vendors use an app called Book Funnel. You have to load it to your device, and when you get a free book, you will need to open the Book Funnel app and put a code in that will be sent to your e-mail address. I just copy and paste.

Another underutilized source of information and reading material is the Tennessee Reads site. This is a free app to add to a device that allows you to use your public library’s e-book source. You must have a library card, but you are allowed to “check out” books for up to 3 weeks at a time and even renew them online. To find the app, go to: http://app.overdrive.com/ and download the app. Follow the prompts, put in your library’s name and you are in business. You may check out books, movies, audio books, magazines and newspapers through this venue.

I hope you find some wonderful reads among this listing! I’m sure there are more sites out there, so feel free to send me those I have left off and I will add them to the list!
